CALL ME BEEP ME

Happy New Year Everyone! 2020 was a whirlwind of a year, and with that said, I hope to God 2021 is NOTHING like it. I'm wishing all of you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year to come! Today I wanted to share with you guys details about Spyscape HQ! My bestie planned a day in the city from Lunch to Dinner, filled with some site-seeing in between. I've been to the city about two times since March when quarantine began, this is a pretty long time for someone who works downtown. Anywho, if you saw my recent Instagram video, about Spyscape, I just wanted to share the full details here!

Spyscape is pretty much an interactive spy museum. Upon entry they check your temperature and have you sanitize your hands. For COVID-19 they've introduced the "touchless" visit. Basically they give you a stylus after checking-in and you work through the various rooms using your phone, stylus and scannable wristband. There are multiple sanitizing stations along with glove stations for your use. While there are many rooms with interesting artifacts and details, there are about five interactive rooms [this is where you put your spy skills to the test]. These rooms are called "Surveillance", "Deception", "Encryption", and "Special Ops".

One thing I would say, is that we were super confused at first on what to do, or how to even begin the challenges, we had to walk around a bit to figure out how everything worked. At the end of all of the challenges there is a debriefing room where you can scan your wristband and it tells you what kind of spy you are along with three of your key attributes [mine were leadership, strategic and empath]. This part is pretty cool because it incorporates your scores during the interactive rooms along with your answers to their "Brain Games" section on your phone. I felt like my key attributes were pretty spot on.

Spyscape is located in Midtown, and open Friday - Sunday, 12:00pm to 7:00pm. We went during their holiday hours which were December 26th through January 3rd - 12:00pm to 7:00pm. I will say that we bought tickets for 3:15pm but were super late [looking for parking] but had no issue when we finally arrived [I thought they would have cancelled our tickets].

The prices for tickets are as follows: Adult - $39.00, Child (6-14) - $32.00 and Student & Other (Students, Teachers, Seniors, US Military and Local Law Enforcement [Valid ID required]) - $32.00. They are currently having a holiday deal, December 4th - January 10th where every child under the age of 14 goes FREE* with a paying adult.

If you're looking for something cool to do that's pretty safe, I'd definitely recommend this. It was a fun experience, especially with friends - did I mention there's a laser room where you climb through lasers and see how many buttons you can hit under one minute? Each laser you hit deducts five seconds. The funniest part is that you're being recorded while in the room so your friends can see what you're doing outside, [mine caught me trying to take a video of me hitting the buttons haha].

Wishing you all peace and love during this new season!

Happy 2021.

With Love,

From Bindi
